Description

UVLS clear coats are water-based clear coats designed for both indoor and outdoor use. They are formulated with an aliphatic acrylic-polyurethane resin, which is exceptionally durable and adheres exceptionally well to painted surfaces. These clear coats are durable and do not yellow over time. The abbreviation UVLS stands for Ultra-Violet Light Stabilizer. The clear coats protect the painted layers from UV rays. This is particularly useful when applying candy2o and other sensitive pigments.

UVLS clear coats serve three functions: 1. Topcoat for lettering, costumes, models, etc. • Ideal clear coats for all Createx paints in non-automotive applications. • Excellent flexibility on costumes • For indoor and outdoor use. Initial contact with water is possible after 48 hours. Full immersion is possible after a minimum of 5 days. • Excellent resistance to damage; clear coats (including matte) withstand direct contact without being susceptible to abrasion. • Work great as interlayer clear coats for masking.
2. Primer – adheres to most substrates except silicone. • Primer for direct application to metal substrates, including brass and steel, without risk of corrosion. For best adhesion to polished, non-matte metal surfaces, wait 48 hours after application. • Can be applied directly to most plastics, including 3D-printed materials, polycarbonates, styrenes, and others. On plastics that are particularly difficult to paint, such as graffiti-resistant casings, the best adhesion can be achieved by applying 4050 to the unmatte surface and allowing it to dry for 48 hours. • Excellent primer for wood. Protects it without raising splinters and prevents oils and wood preservatives from bleeding through. • All UVLS clear coats can be used as a primer, but 4050 has the best properties. 3. Carrier for candy2o • 4050 is the best medium for mixing with concentrated candy2o paints • 4050 is a better carrier than 4030 because it creates a more even layer. • Mix 4050 with candy2o in a 3:1 ratio, then dilute with 5–10% 4011.
