THE GIRALDEZ INFINITY

The GIRALDEZ INFINITY solo features a triple-layered CRplus chrome finish, a 2-ml ink reservoir, and a 0.2 mm Fineline nib.

Angel wanted Harder&Steenbeck to create an airbrush that would instantly improve the results of painters of all skill levels and make it easier for them to adopt his airbrushing style. It had to remain accessible and easy to use for ALL artists.

The project’s goals were MAXIMUM CONTROL, PRECISION, AND FINE TUNING in miniature painting, particularly when using Angel’s “color shading” technique—repeatedly turning the air and paint flow on and off to sketch and gradually build up layers of color in perfect tones, with high detail.

MORE FEELING

The connection between the trigger finger and the movement and response of the firing pin is phenomenally direct. This was achieved by re-examining and optimizing every component of the trigger-to-firing-pin linkage.

The trigger features a new design with miniature lubrication reservoirs built into the bearing surfaces of the needle-pusher system, ensuring smoother and more responsive trigger operation than ever before, even during the longest painting sessions.

MORE ACCURACY

A new design for the nozzle caps—sketching caps—helps you control the distance from the workpiece while providing a clearer view of the front of the airbrush, allowing you to aim your strokes perfectly and apply color exactly where you want it.

Sketch caps allow you to remove dried paint from the needle tip by squeezing them. The needle cannot be bent—the shape of the sketch cap fits perfectly in your fingers. A clean needle tip prevents paint from clogging the nozzle, making your work fast, enjoyable, and efficient.

MORE CONTROL

The front of the airbrush has been shortened, bringing the hand as close as possible to the workpiece to provide an intuitive feel for the tool. This photo shows the GIRALDEZ INFINITY alongside the standard Infinity—the GIRALDEZ is the lower airbrush.

The needle seal is now made of a material with even lower friction to ensure virtually zero needle resistance and full control via the trigger. The seal has been repositioned to sit directly against the paint cup. This allows paint to be cleared from the airbrush faster and more thoroughly than ever before, which has also improved needle alignment with the nozzle. Sharper lines and finer atomization to create a masterpiece for the modern miniatures painter.
